ANN ARBOR, Mich. – May Mobility, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is once again supporting FIRST® this year through sponsorships of both PreK-12 Teams and FIRST Alumni Groups. The May Mobility team also volunteers their time mentoring teams and supporting competitions.
“We are thrilled to support FIRST, and programs like it, that encourage young people to love math and science and most importantly to innovate,” said Tom Tang, vice president of People, May Mobility. “So many of our current employees participated in FIRST competitions growing up and have demonstrated the critical skills needed to bring new technology to market with quality and excellence – making it an ideal organization for us to look for recruits once they have completed their education.”
FIRST Alumni Groups are encouraged to apply for the available sponsorship dollars by completing the sponsorship form by Nov. 15. Each FIRST Alumni Group may apply for up to $5,000.

About FIRST®
FIRST® is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 (PreK-12) that can be facilitated in school or in structured afterschool programs. An international not-for-profit organization founded by accomplished inventor Dean Kamen in 1989, FIRST has a proven impact on STEM learning, interest, and skill-building well beyond high school. Boosted by a global support system of mentors, coaches, volunteers, alumni, and sponsors that include over 200 of the Fortune 500 companies, teams operate under a signature set of FIRST Core Values to conduct research, fundraise, design, and build robots, then compete and celebrate at local, regional, and international events. High school students are eligible for more than $80 million in college scholarships. Learn more at firstinspires.org.
